The Grand River Rodeo scheduled for last Sunday as part of the Greene County Fair has been rescheduled for Saturday, Aug. 6, at 7 pm.
The rodeo will be held in the grandstand at the fairgrounds as previously planned.
The July 17 rodeo was postponed after a morning rain of more than an inch made the infield in the grandstand too muddy. Fair Association secretary Doug Hawn explained that the muddy infield would make it difficult to get the rodeo livestock in and out, and that the poor conditions and the threat of more rain would likely keep the rodeo cowboys away.
4-H and FFA exhibitors at the county fair were to be given free admission to the rodeo. That offer is still valid for exhibitors who wear their 2016 exhibitor T-shirts to the Aug. 6 rodeo.
Regular admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children age 5 and younger.
