Rippey defibrillatorPictured is the defibrillator the city of Rippey purchased in 2015 with funding assistance from the Greene County Community Foundation in the amount of $1,575. The defibrillator is housed in the Rippey Community room and available to anyone living in the community. The request was written by city clerk Mary Millard.

The city of Rippey matched the funding for the purchase of the defibrillator, and then some Rippey city council members and other Rippey citizens were trained in the use of the defibrillator and also training in CPR .

It is the third location in Rippey for a defibrillator, the other located at the Methodist Church, purchased through GCCF through a request from the Rippey Lion’s Club. The third defibrillator is aboard the Rippey fire truck.  The fire department purchased it in 2014 with money from their fundraising efforts.

The city of Rippey is grateful to the Greene County Community Foundation in aiding with this purchase.
