Greene County district court, week ending Feb. 26

In Greene County district court Allison Ann Marie Tucker, 22, of Jefferson was granted a deferred judgment Fb . 26 after she pleaded guilty to a charge of child endangerment. She was placed on informal probation for two years. She must pay a civil penalty of $625, restitution of $373.71 to the Greene County sheriff’s office, other restitution to be determined, and $332.14 court costs. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria A. Tucker was initially charged with two counts of child stealing and child endangerment after she allegedly took two children from their Jefferson home June 1, 2015. A statewide Amber Alert was issued and the tots were found hours later in Des Moines.

Eric Wayne Bellinghausen, 35, of Jefferson was sentenced Feb. 26 after he pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault-serious, amended from domestic abuse assault impeded air/blood flow. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail; all but two were suspended. He was placed on probation for one year. He must pay sheriff’s fees for the time he serves. A judgment was entered for a $315 fine with a $110.25 surcharge. The court determined Bellinghausen is unable to pay $180 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees. Court costs were $133. Walter Adelmo Reyes-Menendez, 28, of Perry was fined $1,000 after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. He must also pay a $350 surcharge with a $10 DARE (drug abuse resistance education) surcharge. Court costs were $100. (Sentencing: Kester)

Persons pleaded not guilty in district court as follows: William Russell Griffin, 41, of Rippey, possession of marijuana-third or subsequent, failure to affix a tax stamp, and manufacture, deliver or possess counterfeit controlled substance; Tyler Joe Beger, 18, of Grand Junction, possession of marijuana-first offense; and Bonnie Mae Grunwald, 56, of Glidden, operating while intoxicated (OWI-first offense. Trial dates were set for May 10 in every case.

Cases were initiated in district court during the week ending Feb. 26 as follows: Preston Perin, 53, of Jefferson, domestic abuse assault causing injury; and Joseph Thomas Romeo, 46, of Jefferson, criminal mischief-fourth degree.
