Whipple, Juergensen sign with ISU

Two members of the Greene County Ram football team signed National Letters of Intent Feb. 3 to continue their athletic careers as Iowa State Cyclones.

Greene County High School senior Daric Whipple of Jefferson and Paton-Churdan senior Noah Juergensen of Churdan have been invited to walk-on and join the Cyclones football team without scholarships but with the “Preferred” moniker and opportunities to earn scholarships at some point in their careers. Both earned All District and All State honors in Class 3A for the Rams.

Juergensen played on the Ram line, both offense and defense. Whipple played quarterback and defensive back for the Rams. Both plan to take ISU courses in June, allowing them to participate in the ISU summer workout program.  ~The Scranton Journal
