The Greene County Rams won their homecoming game Friday, getting their first shut-out of the season and keeping the traditional cowbell in Jefferson. The game came at the end of a busy day that included a parade around the courthouse square and the crowning of Sunny Mobley and Branden Miller as homecoming queen and king.

The Greene County Rams lost a volleyball match to the North Polk Comets in Jefferson Thursday. Scores were 11-25, 18-25, 13-15. Katelyn Hagen was eight of eight serving with two aces and Alison Gallagher was eight of nine serving with one ace.
