The fabrication department of Scranton Manufacturing has chosen the Ram Reader program to receive funds earned through their incentive program.  Each department at Scranton Manufacturing receives incentive points for their productivity and safety records. Departments are then able to choose what they do with their earnings.

Last Sunday’s Rock the ARC raised $4,219.20 for the Greene County Christian Action Resource Center food pantry. The total included a generous donation from Home State Bank. The Jefferson Kiwanis Club is  holding a silent  auction of services, athletic tickets, home baked items and more now in the south foyer of the courthouse. Bidding will close Saturday, Oct. 31, at the   Elks lodge in conjunction with the annual pancake breakfast. Bidding will end Oct. 31 at 11 am.

Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity volunteers and staff gathered with homeowners to dedicate three Helping Hands projects Sunday, Oct. 18. Dedicated were the homes of Ellen McElroy on Main St in Grand Junction, Patsy McGinnis on S. Olive St in Jefferson, and Lori Campbell on Pinet Place in Jefferson.
