Funeral services for Louis D. Tronchetti, 88, of Jefferson, were held Thursday, Nov. 19,  at First United Methodist Church in Jefferson. Words of comfort were offered by the Rev Julie Poulsen, pastor of the church. Soloist was Gary Haupert, accompanied by Danille Curtis. Honorary bearers were the Jefferson High School class of 1945.

Grassley honored as ‘Champion for Children’

Honored for leadership on juvenile justice reform WASHINGTON – Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley received the Champion for Children Award by the Campaign for Fair Sentencing of Youth for his leadership on juvenile justice reform.
