Greene County district court, week ending Oct. 23

In Greene County district court Brad Allen Higgins, 46, of Lidderdale was fined $1,000 after he pleaded guilty at arraignment to a charge of driving while license revoked. He must also pay a $350 surcharge, a $10 surcharge for drug abuse resistance education and $100 court costs. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria A. Kester)

Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Trey Darwin Tucker, 17, of Grand Junction, sex abuse-third degree; and Beth Ann Elerick, 49, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana. A trial date was set for Jan. 26 for Tucker and for Dec. 15 for Elerick.

Cases were initiated as follows: Lance Michal Ross, 18, of Grand Junction, criminal mischief-fourth degree; John Raymond Fortisi Jr, 27, of Madrid, driving while license barred; Ann C. Lehnhoff, 39, of Grand Junction, introduce intoxicants or drugs into a facility and possession of contraband in correctional institution; Jacob Benjamin Brown, 23, of Harlan, operating while intoxicated (OWI)-second offense; Jay Dean Springer, 59, of Jefferson, OWI-first offense; Johnathan Dale Laue, 38, of Grand Junction, driving while license barred; and Kevin Eugene Miller, 42, of Massena, possession of marijuana-second offense.
