The week ending Oct. 9 was dry in Jefferson. The last time Jefferson went seven days without precipitation was March. There was no precipitation March 5-24, and there was a total of just .14 inches of precipitin the entire month. With harvest in full swing and high school homecoming as well, it was a good week for dry weather.
Volunteer weather observer reported a high temperature of 76 degrees and a low temperature of 36 degrees.
