All roads lead to Deal’s Orchard this weekend, or so it would seem. Deal’s 37th annual Fall Festival started Saturday and continues Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.
Dave Bellegante and friends will be back Sunday with more fiddle music from noon to 4 pm, and Shannon Bardole with her Franklin Broom Works will also be there for a second day.
There is plenty to do, with Apple Acres Family Fun Zone, horse drawn rides through the orchard, carnival games, a sketch artist, sand art, a petty zoo, and the Apple Barn filled with apples and other tempting things to buy.
Deal’s Orchard is a family-owned business, and all members of the Deal family are pressed into service for the weekend. Little Theodore Deal, son of Rob and Kari Deal (pictured) and grandson of orchard owners Jerald and Cindy Deal, isn’t quite 3 months old, so he gets to watch this year. (Enjoy it, Theo-Teddy, while it lasts.)
A favorite activity at the Fall Festival is taking photos. Smiles are easy to come by at Deal’s Orchard.
