Jefferson Elks lodge 2306 will hold its annual Heroes Dinner Friday, Sept. 11 at the lodge in Jefferson. Young Iowans geared up for the Mutton Bustin’ competition Friday, Aug. 21, at the 2015 Iowa State Fair. Five rounds of competition took place in the Pioneer Livestock Pavilion culminating in the Championship rounds at the end of the day. Macy Bills of Scranton won her round in the 5 and under division.
