Beginning next week, colorful bikes will be displayed in many of the Jefferson Main Street district’s businesses. These bikes were yarn bombed by several different Jefferson yarn artists in celebration of the Pedaler’s Jamboree scheduled to roll into Jefferson over the Labor Day holiday.
The last week of August, area residents and visitors will be able to bid on the colorful, whimsical bikes in a silent auction. Funds raised will be used towards the Tower View Team’s next alley renovation project, Alphabet Alley, just north of Royal Jewelers.
Along with the bikes will be several bike rims on the lamp posts. “Make sure you check those out. We are throwing out the welcome mat for the 1500 – 2000 bike riders that will be visiting our community. We hope all of you enjoy this art installation,” a Jefferson Matters: Main Street Tower View Team spokesperson said.
