Jail in good shape but is outdated

Annual inspection completed July 21 Greene County sheriff Steve Haupert suggested to the county supervisors that they begin to think about building a new jail as he presented the report from the annual jail inspection on Monday. The 41-year-old jail came through the inspection well, with three recommendations for improvement.

St Patrick Church to retire its 100-year-old furnace

The St. Patrick’s Perseveration Committee recently received word that St. Patrick’s Church west of Churdan is a recipient of a Historical Resource Development Grant in the amount of $10,338 to update the heating and cooling elements in the church.
