Members of First United Methodist Church in Jefferson invite everyone to enjoy an Iowa favorite – sweet corn – at its best at a Sweet Corn Festival this Sunday, Aug. 2, from 5 to 6:30 pm at Russell Park and the adjacent United Methodist Church parking lot.
The meal will feature sweet corn picked Sunday morning, along with pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, and homemade fruit cobblers served with ice cream. Take-outs will be available.
The Webb House will also be open for families to enjoy.
Tickets are available now from United Methodist Church members and at the church, or at the festival Sunday. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for youngsters 12 and younger. Children younger than 5 eat free.
