Greene County district court, week ending June 5

In Greene County district court Gabriel Jamison Wiggins, 19, of Jefferson was granted a deferred judgment June 2 after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana. He must pay a civil penalty of $315 with a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge and a $10 surcharge for drug abuse resistance education (DARE). He was placed on informal probation for one year. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. Court costs were $100. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria A. Kester)

Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignments as follows: Amanda Fay Petrzilka 30, of Scranton, operating while under the influence of marijuana and eluding; and James Tirrill Perry, 37, of Ames, driving while license barred. A trial date was set of July 21 for Perry and of Aug. 25 for Petrzilka.

Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Patrick Michael Kennedy, 30, of Jefferson, harassment-second degree; Collin Daniel Richards, 18, of Bayard, domestic abuse assault causing injury; Allison Ann Marie Tucker, 21, of Jefferson, child stealing (two counts) and child endangerment; Ashley Fawn Marie Scanlon, 26, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana- first offense; Tonya Jean Wenger, 43, of Scranton, domestic abuse assault causing injury; and Danielle Brady Ferguson, 33, of Jefferson, theft-first degree.
