Rams win boys and girls titles at Ogden co-ed meet

The Greene County Rams took both team titles at the rainy Ogden co-ed track and field meet Monday.

The boys edged out Roland-Story by just two points for the title. Team scores were Greene County 148, Roland-Story 146, Ogden 123, Colo-NESCO 92 and Woodward-Granger 38.

The Rams took first and second place in both throwing events. Alex Rasmussen won the shot put with a throw of 47’ 10-1/2” and the discus throw at 151’ 1”. Daniel Neal was second in the shot put at 44’ 10”, and Isaac Perez was second in the discus at 127’ 10”.

On the track, Ram Max Neese won the 100 meter dash in :11.30 and the 200 m dash is :23.10. Daric Whipple won the 400 m dash in :54.20 and the 400 m hurdles in :57.85. Dylan MoConnell won the 110 m hurdles in :16.0. Logan Egeland placed second in the 3200 m run in 11:33.01.

The Rams’ 4 X 100 m relay (McConnell, Whipple, Dylan Hamilton, Neese) won in :45.70, topping R-S by just three-tenths of a second. The 4 X 110 m shuttle hurdle relay (McConnell, Joe Doran, tyler Beger, Jordan Hostetler) placed third in 1:08.3.

The Ram girls dominated and won the title with 205 points. Other team scores were Roland-Story 184 Colo-NESCO 93, Woodward-Granger 49 and Ogden 46.

The girls won eight events and placed in the top three in 18 of the 19 events.

  • 4 X 100 m shuttle hurdle relay (Sorber, Nadia Fisher, Sarah Sandage, Johnson)
  • Discus throw, Kennna Marquardt, 112’ 6”

Second place Ram finishes were:
