In Greene County magistrate court identical judgments were entered Feb. 25 against Aric Thomas Haberer and Joshua Lee McDonald, both of Boone and both charged with trespass violations while deer hunting. Each was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge and $128.44 court costs. Additionally, the two are jointly and severally liable for $4,000 ($2,000 each) in liquidated damages. Their hunting privileges are suspended until all fines and damages are paid.
A judgment was entered against Michael Marlin Matthews of Grand Junction on a charge of reckless driving. He was fined $100 with a $35 surcharge. He must also pay $60 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. The charge against Matthews was amended from a charge in district court of operating while intoxicated.
A judgment was entered against Brandon Lee Makinson of Lohrville on a charge of violation of a no contact order. Makinson ws fined $100 with a $35 surcharge. Court costs were $60.
