The Community Players of Greene County have announced the cast for its upcoming production of the three-act comedy “Pools Paradise” by Philip King.
The play is set in the English countryside. Mrs Toop, the vicker’s wife, played by Teresa Cross, gets involved in an English football pool behind her husband’s back. While trying to find out if she and her maid, played by Anna Pound and Danielle Johnson, won, the vicarage is invaded by the church busy-body, played by Lindy Lehman, a visiting priest, played by Rob Hoyt, and Mrs. Toop’s uncle, the Bishop of Lax, played by Darren Jackson. Mrs. Toop is aided in her endeavors by her maid and the maid’s boyfriend, played by Austin Wailes.
Directing for the first time for the Players is Josh Tuel, assisted by Linda Nichols.
Dates for the production are March 6-8 at the Greene County High School theater. Watch for more information or visit the Players’ Facebook page.
