Rippey home destroyed in fire

A home at 308 3rd St in Rippey is a total loss after a fire this morning, Jan. 21. Fire departments from Grand Junction, Perry and Jefferson responded to assist the Rippey fire department, which was first on the scene with both its trucks. Also responding were the Greene County sheriff’s office and Grand Junction rescue.

It’s time for Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart

Greene County students in grades 2-8 will participate in the annual Jump Rope and Hoops for Heart community service project. From Jan. 26 through Feb. 9, students will raise funds for the American Heart Association while learning about building a heart healthy lifestyle.
