The Bell Tower Festival steering committee, headed by Chamber and Development events committee chair Toni Linberg, is gearing up for its own Greatest Show on Earth, or at least the Greatest Show in Greene County. Theme for the 2015 Bell Tower Festival, June 12-13, is Bell Tower Big Top.
The committee started meeting in October and expects to unveil this year’s festival logo yet this month.
New faces in the Big Top cast include Lindy Lehman as “ringmaster” for the wine tasting event, Clay Ross as ringmaster for Plaza Stage, and Nicole Friess-Schilling as ringmaster for the Bill Riley Talent Search. After many years of sponsorship, Greene County Farm Bureau notified the committee it would not able to continue in that role.
The committee is still looking for ringmasters for the barbecue, class reunions, the car show, vendors and food providers, and logistics. Anyone can volunteer to help; being a member of the Chamber is not needed.
The committee meets the second and fourth Monday of the month at 5:30 pm at the Chamber office at city hall, with the next meeting slated for Jan. 26. Meeting attendance is appreciated but not mandatory for ringmasters.
