Reward offered for help in solving arson to Ralston post office

The United States Postal Inspector Service is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the arson of the Ralston post office.

The fire was reported Wednesday, Dec. 3, at about 12:48 am. It was quickly extinguished by the Ralston and Glidden fire departments but extensive damage was done to the interior of the building.

The state fire marshal’s office is helping with the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call the U.S. postal inspectors at 877-876-2455 or the Carroll County sheriff’s office at 712-792-4393.
