Ben Franklin/Radio Shack donates labor cost to JPRD

The job of updating the electronic signboard at the Greene County Community Center is easier, just in time for winter weather.

BF donated labor JPRDBen Franklin/Radio Shack donated the cost of labor to install a wireless network bridge, allowing Community Center staff to enter messages onto the board without going outside. Labor cost would have been about $500, according to Ben Franklin/Radio Shack owner Bob Smith.

Smith said the technology is similar to what many farmers have installed to take wireless internet service to their machine sheds and offices.
