The Greene County Extension Council welcomes Lori Mannel as the Greene County Extension coordinator, a post she assumed Nov. 10. As Extension coordinator, Mannel will respond to client requests for information and lead programs in Greene County delivered by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
Mannel comes to the position with a strong background in community relations and agriculture. She had most recently worked for the American Cancer Society and was actively engaged in her family’s crop and livestock operations. She is a Jefferson High school graduate and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Buena Vista University. Her background is strong in customer service and bookkeeping and community economic development.
She and her husband Dan live in rural Jefferson.
Her major job focuses will be coordination of human science programming, agricultural programming, and building new extension programs within the county.
“I’m glad to be working with the Greene County Extension Council to make a positive impact in the lives of Greene County residents,” said Mannel.
