Rematch vs Creston to start post season play for Rams

The Ram football team will start post season play with a rematch against Creston/Orient-Macksburg in Creston Wednesday at 7 pm.

Creston/O-M finished the regular season in second place in class 3A District 8 with an overall record of 7-2. The Rams finished in third place in District 2 with an overall record of 4-5.

The teams played each other in Jefferson in the fourth week of the season. The Ram defense held a powerful offense to fewer yards than other teams but the Rams lost 23-7. In that game, Creston quarterback Alex Nielsen was credited with 194 yards passing and 72 yards rushing, for 266 yards of the Panthers’ 314 yard total. The Rams had 247 yards of total offense in the game.
