Medical center CEO Carl Behne invites all to informal event
Greene County Medical Center CEO Carl Behne will begin a second round of community “Coffee with Carl” discussions, which were successful in late 2013 and early 2014 when Behne visited all Greene County communities in an effort to keep the general public up-to-date on events and projects at the medical center.
The first coffee is scheduled in Jefferson on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 am at the Greene County Community Center. The public is encouraged to attend this informal event where coffee and donuts will be provided. It is hoped that the early time will allow those who work during the day to attend.
Behne will give an update on the building project, capital campaign, and UnityPoint Health partnerships. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers during the hour-long coffee.
These community “Coffee with Carl” events are an extension of the internal coffees Behne has been having with employees since late 2012. On a monthly basis, em10ployees are randomly selected and invited to join Behne for coffee, where they can ask questions relevant to their jobs, department services, or medical center. More than 150 employees have participated in the coffees.
The community coffees provide the public an opportunity to get updates on happenings at the medical center in the same way. Behne said, “I enjoy getting out and meeting with the public and sharing our story. Keeping our communities up-to-date on what’s happening at the medical center is important as we continue to strengthen the health care choices within the communities we serve.”
