August construction, condensed

Construction at Greene County Medical Center was delayed during August by abundant rain, but according to medical center CEO Carl Behne, construction can still be completed late next spring.

After the expansion portion of the project is finished, major renovation of the existing building will begin. The renovation is expected to take about a year. Behne explains that the $22.5 million project will improve access, efficiency, and patient privacy.

The medical center public relations team of Carla Offenburger and Emily Brewer is faithfully tracking the progress of the project with photos compiled into  time lapse videos. This video shows all the work done in August in 48 seconds. Watch puddles come and go!
