Greene County magistrate court, week ending July 11

In Greene County magistrate court two cases were initiated against Michael David Teeples of Jefferson, both on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week ending July 11 as follows: Keith Dale Kobs of Avoca, windshield and window-obstructed vision, $50; David Fountain of Grand Junction, failure to yield upon left turn, $100; Kurt Randall Meinecke of Jefferson, operation with expired driver’s license, $50; and Damion Quinton Louk, failure to have valid driver’s license- motorcycle, $300.

Also, speed, $80 (11-15 mph over limit): Rebecca Anne Guinn of Bettendorf, Marc Allan Sampson of Waukee, and Jensen Marie Schlabach of Scranton.

Speed, $40 (6-10 over): *Valerie A. Gierstorf and *William David Raney, both of Jefferson, Colleen Kingcade Edwards of Lakewood, *Benton Scott Warnke of Carroll, *Jennifer Ann Diers of Pella, *Perry W. Eason of Scrnton, and *Ravinder Kumar Agarwal of Clive.

Speed, $20 (1-5 over): Joshua Clinton Gillespie of Sioux Center, Andrew Wayne Paulsen of Ames, Kari Ann Owen-Bahr of Gowrie, Brian Stevens Heenan of Grand Junction, and Michael Scott Miller of Jefferson.

Failure to wear/maintain safety belts, $50: *John Michael Gannon of Grand Junction.

Commercial motor vehicle violations: Kirk J. Stork of Carroll, failure to comply with safety rules, regulations, $50.

Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines as follows (original fine listed): Thomas Alexander Oyres of Jefferson, failure to prove security against financial liability, $250; Bryce Davie Tessman of Audubon, violation of Chapter 325A (motor carrier authority), $250; Jamie Ray Alvarado of Grand Junction, no valid driver’s license, $200; *Ryan Mathew Bishop of Jefferson, speed, $20; *Brian Joseph Thompson of Huxley, speed, $40; Charlien Jean Grife of Jefferson, failure to maintain control, $100; and Jacob L. Shelton of Jefferson, failure to have valid driver’s license, $200.

The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.

Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.

*An additional $5 county surcharge was added.
