Hannah Gunn was named 2014 Greene County Fair Queen and will represent Greene County in the Iowa State Fair contest next month.

Hannah will be a senior at Greene County High School. She is involved in FFA as an officer, 4-H, Young Leaders, Interact Club, cheerleading and track. In 4-H she participates in the dog and cattle projects. She is working this summer at the Grand Junction swimming pool teaching private swim lessons. She is the daughter of Charles and Robin Gunn of Grand Junction, and the sister of 2013 fair queen Brittany Gunn.
If she were marooned on a deserted island she’d want to have her cat, water, and strawberries, because she can’t live without her cat, water is necessary, and strawberries are “awesome,” she said during the spontaneous Q & A part of the competition.
Saturday morning the fancy dress was gone but the crown was still there as Hannah showed her 1,176-pound steer.
Members of the Does served as judges. Peoples Trust & Savings Bank provided cash prizes for the queen competition.
