Greene County 4-H Young Leaders to hold Tip Night

Pizza Ranch supports fundraisers

The Greene County 4-H Young Leaders will be holding their annual Pizza Ranch tip night fundraiser on Monday, May 5, from 5 to 8 pm. They’re asking for supporters to help out by choosing to dine at the Jefferson Pizza Ranch that evening or by ordering delivery or carry out.  The leadership group gets 10 percent of all proceeds, as well as all tips received during the three-hour timeframe.

The Young Leaders are a group of 14 high school 4-H memberss in Greene County who have been selected to serve in the group through an application process.  The members focus on enhancing their leadership, communication, and citizenship skills by sponsoring a variety of events and giving back to Greene County through community service.  This year, the teens plan to help pick up a two-mile portion of the Raccoon River Valley Trail and sponsor their annual free outdoor movie during the 2014 Greene County Fair on Thursday, July 10.  The group also raises funds to help defray the cost of participation in an annual regional leadership retreat.

Members of the Greene County 4-H Young Leaders include president Kami Badger, vice-president Kate Sandage, secretary Thea Ballard, treasurer Taylor Hardin, and multimedia specialist Hannah Gunn.  Other members are Cassidy Carstens, Bailey Godwin, Noelle Gray, Emily Heupel, Ashley Kuhl, Kasey Lane, Reilly Niles, Sarah Sandage, and Wade Wuebker.
