Relay organizers tell entertainment line-up

Along with all the regular events surrounding the Greene County Relay For Life on April  26, there will once again be featured entertainment for the enjoyment of all ages.

The Greene County High School Interact Club will offer a Fun Room for children from 2 to 12 years of age. Games and activities will continue in the Fun Room from 10 am to 1 pm.

Popular farm radio broadcaster Von Ketelsen will take stage in the Community Center at 10 am. Ketelsen brings his own brand of folk/pop vocals that he accompanies on guitar. He tailors his song selection to each audience that he performs for and will play almost anything listeners want to hear.

During the barbeque the always popular Town and Country Band will play. Following the Town and Country Band will be two local dance troupes, the Prairie Blue Creative Arts Center and Rhythm Room. Then rounding out the afternoon of entertainment will be a special performance by the History Boy Theatre Company.

Closing out the relay event at 2 pm will be the traditional luminaria ceremony with featured vocalist Katie Leusink followed by the reading of names honoring and remembering those who have fought the battle with cancer.
