Hunter safety class slated

A hunter safety course will be offered Tuesday and Thursday, Feb. 25 and 27, and Saturday, March 1. The course is sponsored by the Greene County conservation board.

The Tuesday and Thursday sessions will meet from 6:30 to 9 pm at the Milwaukee Road depot on E. Lincoln Way in Jefferson. The Saturday class will meet from 8 am to 4 pm at Slininger Woods west of Jefferson. Participants should bring a sack lunch on Saturday. Attendance at all three sessions is necessary for completion of the course.

All persons born after Jan. 1, 1972, are required to have a certificate of completion of a hunter safety course before purchasing an Iowa hunting license. Minimum age for the course is 12 years. There is no cost.
