Amy Schroeder of Jefferson was appointed Feb. 4 by Gov Terry Branstad to the judicial nominating commission for District 2B, the judicial district in which Greene County lies.
The commission screens applicants for district judgeships and submits a list of nominees to the governor. The governor appoints district judges from the list.
Schroeder’s term is Feb. 1, 2014 through Jan. 21, 2020.
