Heritage book proceeds donated to ARC; copies available

The Greene County Genealogical Society recently donated food items and $500 to the Greene County Christian Action Resource Center food  pantry. The food items were collected at that group’s monthly meeting in November. The cash donation came from proceeds from the sale of the Greene County heritage book.

A limited number of copies of “The Heritage of Greene County Iowa” are still available by sending an email to araejohnson@netins.net, or vjogren@netins.net, or by mailing the Greene County Genealogical Society, Box 133, Jefferson, IA  50129.  Persons can also visit the genealogical library at the Jefferson Public Library Wednesdays from 1 to 4 pm or Saturdays from 9 am to noon.
