Jaime Dodd of Winterset has been hired as the new director for Greene County Medical Center’s long term care facility. She will begin in early December.
Dodd has experience as a nursing home director in both hospital-based and freestanding for-profit nursing homes. She has a nursing home administrator’s license, a social services bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa and a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of South Dakota.
According to chief nurse executive Cindy Kail, who also serves as executive director for long term care, “Jaime has strong experience and focus on the resident experience, as well as proven skills in working with staff to make it a great place for them to work.”
Dodd replaces Linda Bills who recently retired after 34 years in long term care. The long term care facility at Greene County Medical Center offers a home to over 50 permanent residents and a temporary home to many who are recovering from surgery or illness before returning to their private residence. The staff prides itself in creating a family environment with nurses and aides who offer compassionate care to every resident.
Dodd and her husband have two children, a 5-year-old and an 18-month-old.
