P-C holds Academic Achievement Breakfast

Paton-Churdan held its fourth annual Academic Achievement Breakfast Wednesday, May 29.

Students in grades 9-11 with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher were invited for a breakfast and recognition. This year 24 students attended the breakfast, which was sponsored by Sparky’s (Churdan), Jefferson Fareway and Jefferson HyVee.

“This tradition has been well-received,” school counselor Libby Towers said. “Students enjoy the big breakfast and we enjoy the opportunity to celebrate the hard academic work of our students.”

Students honored at the breakfast were (front, from left) Megan Palmer, Anna Subbert, Taryn Baugh, Hannah Behrens, Bryce Baker and Carmyn Paup; (middle, from left) Chloe Berns, Cara Meseck, Madi Minnehan, Kyla Beyers and Katie Minnehan; and (back, from left) Tessa Steimel, Bradyn Smith, Hannah Bundt, Joe Carey, Jon Thede, Danielle Hoyle, Jacob Geisler, Forest Thompson, Connor Brus, Kaleb Fisher, Mason Stream, Karissa Stephenson and Riley Cullum.
