Greene County magistrate court, week ending Dec. 28

Cases were initiated in magistrate court during the week ending Dec. 28 as follows: Rick Eugene Tuhn of Jefferson, harassment- third degree; and Ryan James Brown of Jefferson, disorderly conduct, harassment of public official, and interference with official acts.

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Robert Allen Lindahl of Perry has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week ending Dec. 28 as follows: Thomas Joseph Wolfe of Jamaica, violation of conditions of minor’s school license, $50; and Vincent Eugene Kennedy of Jefferson, failure to yield to vehicle on right, $100.

Also, speed, $80 (11-15 mph over limit): *Cael Steven Fisher of Grand Junction.

Speed, $40 (6-10 over): *Chance Andrew Valdez of Aberdeen, SD, *Michelle Nicole Howard of Boxholm, and Hayley Lynn Brown of Jefferson.

Speed, $20 (1-5 over): James Fredrick Avrams of Logan, *Karen Schneider Beard of Cedar Rapids, Clinton A. Miller of Ames, and Frank Dennis Jorgensen of Carroll.

Hunting/fishing violations: Lyle Donald Tunink Jr of Perry, no license over $10 but under $20, $20;

Commercial motor vehicle violations: Tyler Allen Drechsel of Erhard, MN, Chapter 325A, $250.

Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines as follows (original fine listed): Ashley Jane Fielder of Panora and Kassie J. Beyer of Chicago, IL, speed, $40; Trevor Alonzo Brown of Ogden, failure to maintain, use safety belt, $50; Christopher Michael Hanson and *Anastasia Lynette Lee of Boone, speed, $20; Jeffrey Daniel Sander of Jefferson, operate non-registered vehicle, $50; and Bradley Jon Van Wyk of Ames, failure to provide proof of security liability, $250;

The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.

Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.

*An additional $5 county surcharge was added.
