The Paton-Churdan girls basketball season came to an end with a 50-28 loss in Coon Rapids to the CR-B Crusaders in the Class 1A Region 8 opening round Thursday.
The Rockets out scored the Crusaders by one point in the second half, but they were down 32-9 at halftime.
Megan Carey scored 12 points for the Rockets and Grace Geisler scored 10, including two 3-point baskets. Kyla Beyers scored four points and Autumn Gannon added two.
As a team the Rockets shot at 27 percent from the floor and 36 percent from the free throw line. The Rockets committed 18 turnovers. CR-B shot at 41 percent from the floor and 25 percent from the free throw line. They turned the ball over 14 times.
