In Greene County magistrate court a judgment was entered Nov. 14 against Donara Tanatsky Minor of Des Moines on a charge of harassment-third degree and violation of a no contact order. He was fined $100 with a $35 surcharge on each count and a total of $60 court costs. Total judgment was $330. Forty-five counts of harassment-third degree were dismissed.
A judgment for a $100 fine with a $35 surcharge was entered against Kathleen Ann Specht of Jefferson on a charge of assault-simple.
Cases were initiated as follows: Erin M Burnie of Jefferson, theft-fifth degree and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Berry Arthur Downs of Ames, possession of drug paraphernalia.
Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week ending Nov. 21 as follows: *Stephen Charles Killeen of Churdan and Wilma Janett Willett of Jefferson, both unsafe backing on highway, $100.
Also, speed, $90 (16-20 mph over limit): *Damian Acuna Fernandez of Carroll.
Speed, $40 (6-10 over): Mario Orlando Gonzalez of Boone, and James Glen Squibb of Remsen.
Speed, $20 (1-5 over): Mark Daniel King of Carroll, Chad Dennis Pennington of Perry, Jon Jay Vander Veer of Des Moines and Krystian Ayala of Jefferson.
Fish and game violations: David Gliem of Grand Junction, no deer license or tag, $25.
Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines as follows (original fine listed): Michael C. McAtee of Grand Junction, speed, $90; Nicole Mae Sawhill of Scranton, failure to secure child, paid $100 fine, judgment entered for $35 surcharge and $60 court costs; and Amanda Nicole Christensen of Fort Dodge, improper registration plate, $20.
The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.
Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.
