Deadline nearing for RSVPs Christmas Day the Jefferson Elks Lodge #2306 will prepare and serve a traditional Christmas meal to those individuals and couples who would otherwise be spending the day alone. Propane leak reported in Churdan; evacuation a precaution

Churdan residents in a two-block neighborhood were  evacuated from their homes and the school was put in lock-down at mid-day Wednesday in response to a reported propane leak on the north side of town.
