Update – new GrCo HS, career academy

The project officially went out to bid Thursday, Jan. 17. Contractors interested in bidding on the project will have access to blueprints at “plan rooms” in Fort Dodge, Des Moines, Minneapolis, and Omaha.

Bierl opens veterans service office

Greene County military veterans will again be able to find assistance with veterans’ service without leaving the county. Mike Bierl assumed the role of veterans service officer and opened the Greene County office on the first floor of the courthouse Monday. His regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 1 pm.

Comp board turns away from parity, recommends differing wage increases

The Greene County compensation board is recommending wage increases ranging from 2.96 percent to 8.6 percent for county elected officials. The board met Wednesday morning for about 30 minutes.
