Relay for Life nets $33K for American Cancer Society
Fundraising will continue More than 400 persons attended the Relay for Life of Greene County Saturday. The event raised close to $33,000 for the American Cancer Society, with more money to come in. The Jefferson city crew late last week brought to Jefferson a temporary feline “apartment complex” and placed it adjacent to the current animal shelter. The unit was donated by John McCormick of Churdan. He obtained it a few years ago after an animal rescue operation near Churdan.
