Tuesday Talks start this week

The Tuesday Talks series returns to the Thomas Jefferson Gardens July 10 through Aug. 14. Each Tuesday will feature a different topic from noon to 1 pm. Register now for Blastball, Pre-Sous Chef programs

Preschoolers will have their turn to play ball at the Jefferson park and recreation department’s Blastball program. Blastball is for boys and girls ages 4 and 5. Deadline near for adult co-ed softball league

The registration deadline for the Jefferson park and recreation department’s adult co-ed softball league is Thursday, July 5. Teams should have at least eight players, including at least three women. Players will hit a 12-inch .520 core softball. All bats must be on the ASA-approved bat list (not on the banned bat list).

JPRD plans special activities for kids 3-6

Dinosaurs,  snowballs, caterpillars and outer space will be part of the fun Thursday mornings in July from 10 to 11:30 at the Greene County Community Center. All children ages 3-6 are invited. A DinoMite Bash is planned for July 5. Children will spend the morning creating, searching and playing, with all activities having a dinosaur theme.
