The Greene County board of supervisors on Monday by consensus gave the okay to the Greene County Bar Association to rename the northwest office suite on the third floor of the courthouse after Iowa Supreme Court Justice David Harris. It is the office suite occupied by Judge Harris and his clerk while he served on the Supreme Court.

Greene County offices, Jefferson city offices and the Jefferson public library will be closed tomorrow, Feb. 16, for the Presidents Day holiday. In Jefferson, garbage pick-up will be on the holiday schedule, with routes picked up one day later than usual. The Greene County Community Center will be open regular hours, 5 am to 9:30 pm.
