Marianne Carlson of Jefferson took second place and $150 in the Pajama Party Goodies contest judged Aug. 18 at the Iowa State Fair. Entries were judged on taste, originality and the accompanying description of a favorite pajama party memory. Also on Tuesday, Carlson placed third and received $25 in the Bruce Piper’s Favorite Coconut Cream Pie contest.
