The Goodwill Industries Ambassador trailer will be at the First United Methodist Church at 307 S. Wilson in Jefferson June 15-22. Donations will be processed and sold in local Goodwill stores to support the programs and services Goodwill Industries provide for people with disabilities and disadvantaging conditions.

The hot, humid weather that usually hits Iowa for the State Fair in August came in time for the Bell Tower Festival. In fact, the uncomfortable weather arrived Thursday. High temperature for the week ending June 10 was 97 degrees on Friday. Low temperature was 58 degrees on June 7, according to KCCI’s SchoolNet 8.
