Parents of children entering pre-kindergarten or kindergarten next August are reminded of the kindergarten health clinic Wednesday, May 4. Appointments are available from 1:30 to 5:30 pm at Greene County Elementary School. A parent should attend with his or her child. The clinic visit will take about one hour.

Fourth graders spend a day on the farm

For 20 plus years, Greene County Farm Bureau board members Tim and Vickie Robbins of rural Scranton have hosted a farm tour for all fourth grade students in the county. Former Scranton teacher killed in bike/truck crash

A tragic accident has claimed the life of a life-long teacher, Joleen Stork of Glidden. The 60-year-old died Friday evening near her home north of Glidden. The Greene County 4-H and FFA sheep and goat weigh-in is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, from 8 to 10:30 am at the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson. All market lambs and goats to be exhibited at the 2016 Greene County Fair are required to be weighed and tagged during this time, with complete identification forms turned in.
