Canines will have the last splashes in the Jefferson pool this summer, with the annual Doggie Paddle slated for Saturday, Sept. 2, from 1 to 3 pm. A doggie swim suit competition will add to the fun, and all dogs will receive a toy to take home.

Hoskins Stock Farm of Jefferson earned top honors in the Dorset sheep show judged Wednesday, Aug. 16, at the Iowa State Fair. Hoskins claimed the champion and reserve champion ewe banner and champion ram banner. Hoskins Stock Farm also won second place in the premier exhibitor contest.
