Iowa farmers start growing season under dry conditions

Dry conditions helped Iowa farmers as days suitable for fieldwork increased to 5.9 for the week ending April 13, 2025, according to the USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service. The Greene County School District Education Foundation will again  award 10 Floyd Duane Dunlop Scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each. The scholarship will be granted to Greene County School District graduates going into their second – fifth year of post-high school education in either a college or trade school program.
