Assisting with the service on Sunday, Aug. 10, was Susan Rohden of Paton and Dick Bardole, liturgist. Music was provided by Yvette Bardole at the piano and Midge Vannatta at the organ.  The special music was performed by Willie Lansman.

Reminder:  Sunday, Aug. 17, there will be a creamy Italian chicken luncheon at 11:30 am. Everyone welcome.

Beginning in late August, Pastor Paul will offer a Disciple IV class, “Under the Tree of Life.”  If you have questions about this study, please contact Pastor Paul.

Alan and Kane Borgeson and Jerry Hinton returned home Saturday (Aug. 9), after spending the week in Canada fishing.  They reported the fishing and the weather was good, so it was a successful and enjoyable time.  Sarah and Kale joined Mary Hinton and Taylor, and Bret and Lizzie Pierce at the Balloon Festival in Indianola Friday evening.  Sarah, Kale, Mary and Taylor also took in the Des Moines Zoo the next day.

Jean, Robert, Michael, Jill and Seth Borgeson joined the DeMoss and Derry families at the wedding of Bryce DeMoss and Kari Bodholdt on Saturday, Aug. 9.  The wedding was held at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, Storm Lake.  Bryce is the son of Shawn and Lori DeMoss and Kari is the daughter of Toni and Lori Bodholdt.

Dale and Nancy Hanaman have grandchildren, Steven, Elizabeth and Andrea Pearson, visiting from Superior, WI, for their annual stay at “The Farm.” They have enjoyed gardening, biking, swimming and frequent trips for ice cream. Nancy met them in the St. Paul last Thursday (Aug. 7) and shared time with their parents, Sarah and Benji Pearson.
