The Greene County High School activities department has announced the seventh class to enter the Greene County Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony and recognition has been moved to the fall, a change from previous years.
Honorees will be recognized Friday, Oct. 16, at the Greene County versus Creston football game. The introductions will take place at halftime.
On Saturday, October 17, 2026 There will be a community reception Saturday, Oct. 17, in the high school commons from 5 to 5:30 pm, with a short program in the high school auditorium at 5:30.
The Hall of Fame Class includes:
Kevin Skalla, Class of 1981 track (Scranton); Clay Thompson, Class of 1986, football (Jefferson); Nathan Subbert, Class of 1994, football (JSPC); Shaun Meinecke, Class of 1997, track (Jefferson-Scranton); and Matthew Gunn, Class of 2002, football (East Greene).
